==Use==
The '''Weapon Holder''' is a piece of machinery used by the Covenant for storing certain weapons, using either an anti-gravity or magnetic suspension to hold its cargo aloft. It is most often encountered in multiplayer levels holding the [[Energy Sword]] aloft, but can hold other weapons. It costs 3 [[Forge]] points and is available on every map.

Weapon Holders don't only hold weapons it can also hold the already open Gravity Lift, but it will only hold it side ways.

The Weapon Holder is a device used by the Covenant for storing certain weapons, using anti-gravity technology to keep its weapon held aloft.[1]

In-game information[edit]

Halo 3[edit]

The Weapon Holder can be encountered in Halo 3 multiplayer both on standard levels and as a Forge scenery object. They work similarly to the traffic cone used to hold up the Scarab Gun in Halo 2, holding up any weapon deposited over them to face vertically.

When encountered in regular multiplayer, the Weapon Holder is most commonly seen holding up an energy sword, particularly on the maps The Pit and Construct. However, they can be used to hold any weapon dropped above them (be it dropped in Forge or by another player). They can also be used to hold all grenade and equipment items (including the Active Camo, Overshield and Custom powerup) and some smaller scenery objects such as the gravity lift. It can also be used to hold the 7 wood joke weapon. If used on the central platform of Epitaph or the Elephants on Sandtrap, they will not work and the object being stored will simply fall down.

In Forge, the Weapn Holder costs $3 to spawn, and can be spawned on any map in the game. They have fairly unique physics, and can be balanced on any surface including small tree branches. In the released map packs, Weapon Holders are usually used to make certain objects float that normally would fall down. Objects usually held in the air by Weapon Holders are active gravity lifts, fusion coils, and some other small objects like radios, and barrels. They can be used to make traps; for example, holding a gravity lift in place such that any player who walks in front of it may be flung backwards and off the edge of the map.
