Riz-028 is a SPARTAN-II supersoldier formerly in service of the United Nations Space Command.[2] She is a member of Silver Team under the Asymmetric Warfare Research Group.[1]
Personality and traits[edit]
Riz-028 is focused and professional.[3] She is also highly devoted to her teammates and their well-being. However, following extensive injuries suffered during a battle, Riz began to consider life outside of military combat in light of a difficult rehab process, taking out her emotional regulator pellet and confiding in Louis-036, her personal trainer and a former Spartan candidate who was discharged after becoming blind and found a life for himself as a civilian.[4] Following the Fall of Reach, in which Louis died in battle and she suffered further injuries, Riz retired from active duty herself, staying on Aleria and finding a new life with the locals there.[5]
Riz is also intelligent and an effective writer, having written a research paper on a particular species of bird on Reach during her stint in active duty.[6]
Equipment[edit]
Riz employs a suit of Mark VI MJOLNIR armour with a Mark IV/S "Samuel" helmet. The helmet features novel sensor and BIOS improvements co-developed by Riz-028 after her close analysis of Covenant hunter-seekers during the Arcadian campaign. Her work continues to inform the secretive MJOLNIR reconnaissance and surveillance program and its future helmet designs.[7]
Production notes[edit]
- Riz-028 in Halo: The Television Series is portrayed by Natasha Culzac.[3]
- The designation, background, and name for Riz-028, along with those of Kai-125 and Vannak-134, were pulled from 343 Industries' internal documentation for the Spartan-II program, with their counterparts in the core canon being former members of Omega Team.[2][8]
