The hidden message makes much more sense, in the poetic tone of the Gravemind, for it to be: "Side by side we march as one. Shoulders set, blades aligned. Let our footfalls strike together. So our foes shall know our might." The Gravemind has a very specific, poetic way of communicating, and "Humans and Elites will die" does not invoke the tone of the Gravemind.
