He briefly took notice of a meteor shower, but felt that nothing was amiss. Hidden among the meteorites were several [[M8900 drop pod]]s housing a team of [[Orbital Drop Shock Trooper]]s and a [[SPARTAN-II Program|SPARTAN-II]], [[Cal-141]]. The following morning, he ambushed one of the ODSTs, [[O'Brien (Heian)|O'Brien]] from behind, but was stopped by the SPARTAN. In the ensuing battle, the Chieftain lost his right eye and was pushed off a large waterfall. However, the Chieftain would survive the fall.{{Ref/Reuse|Leg}}
Later, the Chieftain found the humans while they were preparing for the assassination of a [[Unidentified Prophet (The Babysitter)|Prophet]] in charge of the Covenant's logistics in the area. The Chieftain was first seen patrolling at night with a torch, watching over the [[Unggoy]] as they gazed upon the meteor shower. During the day, he had attacked [[O'Brian (The Babysitter)|O'Brian]] from behind, but was stopped by [[Cal-141]]. The ensuing battle left the Chieftain with one remaining eye, and the conflict ended when the Chieftain was pushed off a large waterfall. Later he managed to reach the surface and find the [[ODST]] squad in the middle of setting up the assassination of a [[San 'Shyuum|Prophet]]. After discovering them, he quickly rampaged the squad with his [[Gravity Hammer]]. Cal-141 prevented O'Brian's death by pushing him out of the way, and taking the blow. The Chieftain, after mortally wounding the [[Spartan-II|Spartan]], was tackled by O'Brian, [[Cortez]], and [[Taylor H. Miles|Dutch]]. As soon as he was on the ground, Dutch fired his [[M7S Sub Machine Gun]] into his open eye-socket, resulting in the Chieftain's gruesome death.

This unidentified Chieftain was a Jiralhanae who led Covenant military forces on Heian, a planet located along a significant Covenant supply route.[2]

Biography[edit]
