Later, the Chieftain found the humans while they were preparing for the assassination of a [[Unidentified Prophet (The Babysitter)|Prophet]] in charge of the Covenant's logistics in the area. He again attempted to strike O'Brien from behind, though Cal-141 pushed the ODST out of the way, receiving a blow to her head. The Chieftain, after mortally wounding the SPARTAN, was tackled by O'Brien, [[Cortez]], and [[Taylor H. Miles|Dutch]]. During the day, he had attacked [[O'Brien (The Babysitter)|O'Brien]] from behind, but was stopped by [[Cal-141]]. The ensuing battle left the Chieftain with one remaining eye, and the conflict ended when the Chieftain was pushed off a large waterfall. Later he managed to reach the surface and find the [[ODST]] squad in the middle of setting up the assassination of a [[Unidentified Prophet (The Babysitter)|Prophet]]. After discovering them, he quickly rampaged the squad with his [[Gravity Hammer]]. Cal-141 prevented O'Brien's death by pushing him out of the way, and taking the blow. The Chieftain, after mortally wounding the [[Spartan-II|Spartan]], was tackled by O'Brien, [[Cortez]], and [[Taylor H. Miles|Dutch]]. This unidentified Chieftain was a Jiralhanae who led Covenant military forces on Heian, a planet located along a significant Covenant supply route.[2]

Biography[edit]

On one night in 2544,[1] the Chieftain patrolled a field on Heian, overseeing several Unggoy. He briefly took notice of a meteor shower, but felt that nothing was amiss. Hidden among the meteorites were several M8900 drop pods housing a team of Orbital Drop Shock Troopers and a SPARTAN-II, Cal-141. The following morning, he ambushed one of the ODSTs, O'Brien from behind, but was stopped by the SPARTAN. In the ensuing battle, the Chieftain lost his right eye and was pushed off a large waterfall. Equipment[edit]

The chieftain employed an Akelas Workshop gravity hammer and a suite of armour identical in nature to that used by the Chieftain Avitus - albeit coloured in blue and white trim, rather than bronze-red.[2]
