| James McCoy was born on the planet Coral with a twin brother. At the age of 3 he found out he should travel across the universe after seeing a meteor shower. He and his brother were separated at the age of five when their parents got into a divorce.

| He stayed on Coral until he turned 18 and joined the navy. Do to joining the navy he was sent to Oasis VI to train. He slowly went up the rank until he became captain. He was then given command over the colony ship The Dusk unto Dawn in 2501.

In 2522 Lily McCoy was born. She was last child born.
