Nipple academy is a type of Unggoy educational institution.[1] It presumably draws its namesake from the Unggoy's food nipple feeding tubes.
Nipple academies appear to be the equivalent to human higher education institutions; they employ professors,[2][3] while offering fellowship to students.[4][5] Much like human institutions, there appears to be a distinction between public and (presumably) private nipple academies—saying someone attended a public nipple academy could be an insult or a taunt.[6][7]

Nipple academies were first mentioned in Halo 3; with the IWHBYD skull enabled, after an Unggoy witnesses the death of an ally, he may identify his dead companion as Flipyap, then states they "went to nipple academy together".[8][9] Since IWHBYD-enabled dialogue are intended as jokes, the canonicity of a "nipple academy" has been dubious. However, with the release of Halo Infinite campaign, the existence of nipple academies was confirmed via an audio log,[1] then later reinforced by the Armory Infinitum entry on the Unbound Plasma Pistol.[10]
