PALADIN-class Mjolnir is a MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor variant, designed for the MJOLNIR Mark IV platform.[1]
Overview[edit]
Design details[edit]
While designed for the MJOLNIR Mark IV platform, the Paladin helmet integrates MJOLNIR GEN3 technologies and focuses on improving Spartan combat effectiveness.[1] The Paladin helmet is compatible with the Project GOSWHIT attachment, which consists of a revolutionary target acquisition suite and hardened uplink.[2] The Paladin project also extended to chest armor with the UA/NERA-ATS attachment, utilizing off-the-shelf components such as NERA tiles originally manufactured by Beweglichkeitsrüstungsysteme for vehicle protection kits.[3]
Development history[edit]
Manufactured by the Office of Naval Intelligence's Watershed Division, the Paladin helmet is one of Dr. Catherine Halsey's side projects in which she revisited her work with the MJOLNIR Mark IV platform.[1] The Project GOSWHIT attachment intended for the Paladin helmet was built by Halsey from spare parts and hand-crafted microcode, specifically with the intent to humble Watershed Division.[2]
Usage[edit]
By 2560, Spartan-II Robert-025 of Omega Team wore a Paladin helmet.[4][5][Note 1]
In-game information[edit]
Halo Infinite[edit]
The Paladin helmet and associated armor is available for multiplayer Spartan armor customization in Halo Infinite.

Trivia[edit]
- The Paladin helmet is likely a reference to the Paladins, the twelve legendary knights of Charlemagne's court. These knights were led by Roland, with their most influential appearance being in the French poem The Song of Roland.
- Project GOSWHIT also has its origins in medieval legend with "Goswhit" being the name of the helmet worn by King Arthur.
List of appearances[edit]

- Content Update 29 (First appearance)
- Halo: Hippocratica
Note[edit]
- ^ 343 Industries noted in a Canon Fodder post that both the concept art and the final Halo Wars 2 in-game models of Omega Team could be considered authoritative in some capacity, stating that "Discerning lore-lovers should feel free to consider both iterations fair game for expanding their imaginations." Furthermore, the 2022 edition of the Halo Encyclopedia utilizes said concept art for its depiction of Omega Team, firmly cementing their armors' canon status.
