Trivia[edit]
- The Bioroid Fracture appears to pay homage to the Bio-Booster Armor Guyver series of manga and anime written by Yoshiki Takaya, in which the titular Guyver Unit is a suit of symbiotic armor designed to amplify the wearer's lifeforce.
- Given this, the term "Bioroid" is possibly a play on the word "Zoanoid," which are genetically augmented humans and the foot soldiers of the Chronos corporation in the Guyver series.
- The Israfil helmet bears a distinct resemblance to the Guyver Unit armor itself.
- The Bioroid helmets are named after mythological beings of multiple human cultures and religions:
- Apollyon is the Greek name for Abaddon, an important term for both Judaism (a place) and Christianity (a fallen angel) religions. In both religions, however, Apollyon/Abaddon is related to the concept of destruction.
- Israfil is the name of one of the four angels who will blow the trumpet twice to signal the Qiyamah (the Judgement Day) in Islam: the first blow will kill all living creatures and the second blow will revive them.
- Tithonus is a Greek figure, who's described as Goddess Eos' lover; in the myth, Tithonus became immortal but continued to age. Eos, unable to help him, made him into a cicada.
