The Cart or Electric Cart[1][2] is a small human ground vehicle first introduced in Halo 3 as a static prop, and later made driveable in Halo: Reach.

Universe and lore[edit]

The cart is a small civilian vehicle that can move small trailers. It was prominently used in the Traxus Factory Complex 09.[3]

A different four-wheeled cart model was used by the Office of Naval Intelligence at SWORD Base on planet Reach. It had Tiger Grip wheels.[4]

Overview[edit]

The cart resembles a luggage transport at an airport, having a yellow color scheme and sometimes being seen attached to trailers. It is mainly flat, with small railings on top.

Counterparts[edit]

There aren't vehicles directly analogous to the Cart. However, the Mongoose is similar in terms of size.

Gameplay[edit]

The four-wheeled cart is a slow moving, single seater. It has no horn does make a beeping sound in reverse. During multiplayer activies, players can stand on the cart without being killed at full speed.[5]

Campaign[edit]

In Halo 3, the six-wheeled cart is a static object seen in some levels like Floodgate.

The four-wheeled cart is drivable in Halo: Reach and can be found during the level ONI: Sword Base, early on.[4] It can only be used in the courtyard, and cannot be taken to the next area. However, at the end of the mission, the cart can be taken into the base. Like all other civilian vehicles in Reach, the cart is weaponless and is mainly there as a novelty.

At full speed the Cart is capable of splattering enemies in Easy and Normal modes, however, only Grunts can be killed with it. A Jackal or an Elite will merely be damaged. This is not possible on Heroic or Legendary. Splattering an enemy will unlock the achievement Workers' Compensation.

Forge[edit]

In the Halo: Reach component of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the four-wheeled cart can be spawned. It is located under the "Vehicles (MCC)" tab on Tempest and Forge World. It cannot be colored.

The six-wheeled cart can be spawned in the Forge of the Halo 3 component of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Specifically on the map Waterfall, added in Series 6: Raven. It is located under the "Scenery" tab.

Advantages[edit]

  • The driver won't be killed or ejected if the cart is destroyed.
  • An effective way to transport encumbered teammates, such as those carrying turrets or the invasion core.
  • Can haul forge objects with physical properties, as long as the said object is light enough. This includes other light vehicles, ammo cabinets, barricades, and health packs.

Disadvantages[edit]

  • Weaponless.
  • Slow.
  • Driving in reverse is even slower and causes the vehicle to emit a loud beeping noise.
  • Due to a bug, standing on the cart while it moves will sometimes damage the player.
