Reporter Spencer Hume, claiming to be publishing exposés on the Office of Naval Intelligence, blamed the Spartans for the incident on Tanuab III. Mark-G313 stated that the incident was due to a meteor impact and Hume was only creating a smear campaign against the Spartans.[2]
