The COG sight, also called the advance sight is a sight used on UNSC weapons.
The COG sight is able to show the shield and health of enemies in-game. The shielding level will only be shown on targets possessing full body shield systems, as Sangheili shielding will show up on the COG's display, whereas a Kig-Yar arm mounted shield gauntlet will not. Additionally, targets in the COG's line of sight will be surrounded with a red outline, akin to the VISR system used by Orbital Drop Shock Troopers.[1] The red outline lasts for a few seconds when not aimed directly at the target.
