:: Perhaps the overwhelming "Reclaimer" readings simply drowned it out, or it was just overlooked. Perhaps being trapped under polar ice made the structure dormant and thus it produced no readings that a Luminary could interpret, only to reactivate when the initial glassing melted some of the icepack. Furthermore the man-made structures around the relic were probably produced only recently as part of Alpha Base or whatever military compound Spirit of Fire put Alpha on. Oh and by the way, the word "sea" doesn't necessarily mean "liquid", even a hot Earth-like world like Harvest is going to have frozen polar regions. == Conservation sphere waystation? ==
It has been pointed out by the Catalog that the Relic on Harvest may in fact be a shield World cartographer facility. This is interesting as that would mean that Arcadia could potentially be a shield world.— subtank 02:29, 7 July 2014 (EDT)
:Or that Arcadia houses another shield world "waystation", which is why the Covenant were directed to 0459 from there? That is disregarding the inconsistency with the fluff from the game guide which stated that the Covenant had already discovered 0459 before the events of HW. Catalog is delightfully vague about some of its statements. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 02:36, 7 July 2014 (EDT)
::I don't know if the Covenant forces at Onyx knew what exactly this world contained, but I don't believe they directed any glassing beams towards the planet to uncover any Forerunner facilities. This might indicate that they knew this was a superior type of facility compared to the smaller structures they had encountered throughout the human colonies, and thus were unwilling to damage it. The same could not be said for Arcadia which the Covenant would return late in the war to glass completely. I agree with Jugus that Arcadia was merely another pit stop on the way to SW459.
::Interesting. I had always thought that Regret found Shield World 0459 from the data on Harvest. Especially with this quote: The human female from the ice relic, she has some knowledge in this regard. The new planet the Relic has lead us to has also led her. But, I suppose that the CCS-class battlecruiser that was engaged in surface activities had time to extract the coordinates from the Forerunner ruins on Arcadia, send them to Regret and 'Moramee, allow them to access Shield World 0459, and have Regret make 'Moramee do a round trip to and from Arcadia for Anders. Back on topic I doubt that Arcadia is a shield world when the Covenant angrily glassed it in 2549.Sith-venator Wavingstrider (Commlink) 02:53, 7 July 2014 (EDT)
Capitalization
I've seen that Halo Wars often uses "relic" without capitalizing the letter "R". This can be seen in these videos at 0:24 and following seconds, at 4:02, 1:09, etc. I haven't actually found any "Relic", but it's been a while since I've played the game, and I don't have the official strategy guide and so on, so maybe I don't have all the necessary information. But if the word "relic" (used in "the relic site", "the ice relic"...) was not supposed to be a proper noun, then we may have to change a few things. Moreover, I've found the name "Relic" a bit bothering for quite some time now, since it's very general. I thought something like "Harvest relic" or "relic on Harvest" (or whatever similar wording you can come up with) would be more descriptive. Of course, you can disregard this comment if there is proof that "Relic" has been in use officially. Still, I would be slightly skeptical if it's capitalized in recent use, but not in early materials. Imrane-117 (talk) 16:36, 14 March 2015 (EDT)
:The Halo Wars Strategy Guide uses it capitalized as Relic, Relic Approach, and Forerunner Relic. -ScaleMaster117 (talk) 20:52, 14 March 2015 (EDT)
::Ok, thanks. It's fine then. Imrane-117 (talk) 03:31, 15 March 2015 (EDT)
