This unnamed red dwarf star is orbited by five planets, the most notable being the Sangheili colony of Duraan, the third from the star. It is known to produce powerful solar storms capable of degrading the energy shielding of ships as far away from it as near Duraan. Tem'Bhetek once had visited the system during a training mission, and had been surprised at just how rapidly the shields on the cruiser carrying him had been drained. He used this experience years later to make the star work to his advantage in springing a trap for Rtas 'Vadum, during which he and others were able to board the Shadow of Intent.[1]
