The Path of Control is a system utilized by the Covenant military, somewhat analogous to the human chain of command. The Path of Control was derived from traditional Sangheili bonds, where loyalty was always personal: strong for the leader of one's keep (usually a kaidon[1]), but more tenuous with each step removed.[2]
History[edit]
During the Battle of Netherop, Fleetmaster Nizat 'Kvarosee ignored the Path of Control by directly giving orders to a Wuzum-pattern Spectre crew, where normal situations would dictate he give his orders to a First Cannon, who would in turn relay the orders to the vehicles.[2]
