This rift took him to Gamma Halo, the location of the Composer's Abyss. John-117 and the rest of Blue Team confronted the Promethean and digitized him with the combined power of five Composers. Iratus is a Smart AI that was created in secret by the technology firm Lux Voluspa using the brain of a Jiralhanae rather than a human. After launching a cyberwarfare attack on Lux Voluspa, the Banished stole Iratus from the facility, later assigning the AI to oversee shipbreaking operations on the former human colony of Camber. During a mission to the world, Spartans Sigrid and Dinh discovered Iratus, with Dinh capturing the AI inside his neural interface. Returning to the Avery J.
