This automated turret is a stationary weapons platform used by the Banished during the Installation 07 conflict in 2560.[1]
Overview
The automated turret can be deployed on any surface. Upon detecting an enemy, the turret blinks red and fires projectiles at its target. These projectiles are similar to those fired by the Mangler.[1] The turrets make use of semi-intelligent actuator plugs to direct the turret's operation, similarly to the Covenant Shuku-pattern sentry turret.[2]
In-game information
Four ground-mounted automated turrets are encountered at a Banished outpost that contains a Spartan core in the "Connections" section of the Halo Infinite campaign. Three turrets protect the outpost's entrance, while the fourth is hidden in a tunnel beneath the outpost.[1]
Two ceiling-mounted Banished automated turrets are encountered inside the main control room at the Horn of Abolition. These turrets can be disabled by locating and destroying their power source which is hidden in an adjacent room.[3]
