Usage[edit]

This template should be used when citing games. For other citation templates, see Template:Ref. For more reference templates, see Template:Ref.

Fields[edit]

Field Name Optional or Required? Description Example
Id Recommended An ID for the reference, so it can be reused. Make it tied to the source so it does not conflict with other IDs. Always put this at the start. While not Required it is recommended to give every source a unique Id for future use. HW2OSG
Game Required The name of the game being cited. Alternatively the following Acronyms can be used. Halo Infinite
Expansion Required when applicable If the game added new levels via DLC, Title Update, or through alternative means.

Chapter Required The game chapter the quest or mission is part of

Mission Required The specific quest or mission being cited

Detail Optional Used to describe the item in question. Controllers appeared in this mission.
Quote Optional When citing a particular quote from the game, this should be used. However, it cannot be used if the Details field is used. Vaughan, heads up. We've got a new flavor of Sentinel.
Quotee Optional This is to put who or what said a "quote"
