Look Both Ways
Look Both Ways is an achievement in Halo 3 which was unlocked by earning a Splatter Spree in a ranked or social match on a Legendary map.[1]
This achievement is worth 50 Gamerscore.
Following the shutdown of Xbox 360 Halo online services on January 13, 2022, this achievement is no longer attainable.[2][3]
Tips[edit]
- On Avalanche, the easiest way to obtain a Splatter Spree was with a Ghost, but could still be obtainable with other vehicles, such as the Warthog, though it was more difficult. If played on the Asymmetrical or the "Heavy Modified" versions of Avalanche, there would be a Brute Chopper which can splatter vehicles by "crushing" them, allowing the player to get a Splatter Spree, however on Heavy, a Chopper would need to watch out for Wraiths, Banshees, Scorpions and Spartan Lasers.
- Another possible way was during game of Neutral Assault on Avalanche, by grabbing the Ghost and camping where the ball respawned. With luck, the other team would try to come and grab it on foot, allowing the player to boost in for the kill when they didn't expect it. This could take a while, depending on how often the other team sent someone out on foot. It was also dangerous if the opposing team anticipated it the next time, and countered with a Warthog. Players also needed to be careful of trip mines, as there was a spawn for one nearby.
- It was also possible to get this achievement on the Mythic Map Sandbox with the Chopper or Warthog.
- An extremely difficult way of getting the achievement was on Ghost Town, on which the only vehicle was the Mongoose.
