This unidentified weapon was a handheld directed energy multiweapon created and used by the Forerunners during the Forerunner-Flood war.[1][2]
Description[edit]
The weapon was a silver, claw-shaped device that generated a hard-light blade, capable of firing bolts of energy. When multiple weapons were used in conjunction, they could apparently combine their energy bolts to form a single large blade-like projectile that sliced through the air.[1]
Trivia[edit]
The means of activating the weapon is remarkably similar to that of the Sangheili energy sword. It is possible that the weapon inspired the operational design and power supply of the energy sword.
