The year 98,395 BCE is a year in the distant past.
Events[edit]
Unknown[edit]
- Circa 98,395 BCE,[1] the Librarian undertakes on a mission to study the origins of the Flood in the satellite galaxy of Path Kethona. In Path Kethona, the Librarian and the crew of her explorer vessel, Audacity, discover a world with a population of primitive Forerunners. On this planet, she learns the truth about the Precursors' disappearance ten million years earlier: the Forerunners rose up against their creators and annihilated them in defiance of the Precursors' choice to pass the Mantle on to humanity.[2] The Librarian would keep this information to herself at the time, fearing that the Builders in control of the Old Council could potentially use it against her or the Didact.[3]
