Target acquisition system (TAS) is an external helmet attachment compatible with the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor.[1]
Overview
Design details
External target acquisition systems tend to be bulky and complex.[1]
Usage
TAS modules are used for target acquisition.
Known modules
There are several modules for external target acquisition systems, each with its own distinct physical appearance.
DROCTULF
Manufactured by Meyer e.V., the DROCTULF module incorporated technologies adjacent to Project THEIA to reduce the bulk and complexity of external target acquisition systems. The DROCTULF module has been observed to be compatible exclusively with the ZVEZDA-class Mjolnir helmet.[1]
GUNGNIR MOD 6
Manufactured by Hannibal Weapon Systems and based on Project GUNGNIR, the GUNGNIR MOD 6 adds new weapon interfaces, extended IFF range, and deeper battlenet synchronization among GUNGNIR-equipped Spartans. The GUNGNIR MOD 6 module has been observed to be compatible exclusively with the STORMFALL-class Mjolnir helmet.[1]
LANTIFRID
Manufactured by Watershed Division, the LANTIFRID module is THEIA-compatible. The LANTIFRID module has been observed to be compatible exclusively with the AKIS-II GRD helmet.[1]
MOTHACID
Manufactured by Watershed Division, the MOTHACID module is used to detect, analyze, and identify alien artifacts and signal sources. Though Spartans have also adapted the instrumentation package to interface with Mjolnir fire control systems. The MOTHACID module has been observed to be compatible exclusively with the CELOX-class Mjolnir helmet.[1]
ORCUS
Manufactured by Chalybs Defense Solutions, the ORCUS module is used by Spartan intelligence units for locating targets. The ORCUS module has been observed to be compatible exclusively with the RAMPART-class Mjolnir helmet.[1]
PATTERNWOLF
Manufactured by RKD Group, the PATTERNWOLF module uses miniaturized and improved version of the information fusion system fitted to the ARGUS helmet. Though Spartan-IV's lack the cognitive flexibility to make use of the PATTERNWOLF for more then a few minutes at a time. The PATTERNWOLF module has been observed to be compatible exclusively with the SHIKARI-class Mjolnir helmet.[1]
PATTON
Manufactured by Materials Group, the PATTON module collects data for KOBOLD combat drones. The PATTON module has been observed to be compatible exclusively with the ARTAIUS-class Mjolnir helmet.[1]

Halo Infinite
TAS attachments are available as customization options in Halo Infinite.
Helmet Attachment | Manufacturer | Lore | Compatible Helmets | Rarity | Unlock Requirements |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
TAS/DROCTULF |
Meyer e.V. | DROCTULF uses THEIA-adjacent technologies to reduce the bulk and complexity of external target acquisition systems. | Epic | Purchase "Zvezda Armor Set" Bundle from the Shop for 2,000 cR (or 1,500 cR during a sale) | |
TAS/GUNGNIR MOD 6 |
Hannibal Weapon Systems | GEN3 GUNGNIR adds new weapon interfaces, extended IFF range, and deeper battlenet synchronization with other GUNGNIR-equipped Spartans. | Epic | Purchase "Stormfall Armor Set" Bundle from the Shop for 1,200 cR | |
TAS/LANTIFRID |
Watershed Division | Most of the functionality of this THEIA-compatible targeting module remains locked and undocumented, even the highest-ranking ONI officers on the UNSC Infinity lack authority to access its low-level diagnostic functions. | Legendary | Season 02: Lone Wolves Battle Pass Level 69 (Premium) | |
TAS/MOTHACID |
Watershed Division | MOTHACID is the Xeno-Materials Exploitation Group codename for a specialized instrumentation package used to detect, analyze, and identify alien artifacts\signal sources. Spartans have adapted the equipment to interface with Mjolnir fire control systems. | Epic | Purchase "Celox Armor Set" Bundle from the Shop for 1,200 cR | |
TAS/ORCUS |
Chalybs Defense Solutions | The doctrine of Spartan intelligence units is Find, Fix, and Finish. Exploitation and analysis of the remains is a job for technical specialists, not hyper-lethal combat machines. | Epic | Season 02: Lone Wolves Level 39 (Premium) | |
TAS/PATTON |
Materials Group | No military research project is an island, even those used by Spartans. For example, Project ARTAIUS is a spinoff from Project GARMR, and the PATTON collects data needed for the KOBOLD combat drone initiative. | Legendary | Season 02: Lone Wolves Battle Pass Level 84 (Premium) | |
TAS[2]/PATTERNWOLF |
RKD Group | A miniaturized and improved version of the revolutionary information fusion system fitted to the ARGUS helmet. Unfortunately, Spartan-IV's lack the cognitive flexibility to make use of the PATTERNWOLF for more then a few minutes at a time. | Legendary | Season 02: Lone Wolves Interference Event Pass Level 10 |
