Han was a Vancouver-class courier.

Design details==

It was equipped with 40 cryo-chambers, suggesting a possible crew of up to 40 personnel, and the AI Toran. Though the ship was designed for passenger comfort and had showers and a rotating midsection providing gravity, this left less room for the crew. In addition, the bridge was extremely small and lacked any form of artificial gravity. It had no combat capabilities or defensive measures.

Catherine Halsey disliked the shuttle, noting that it was fit only for Lilliputian ambassadors.[3]

Service history

Around July 21, 2517 to help Dr. Catherine Halsey study each of the Spartan-II-candidate children in Sector 4, ONI provided the diplomatic shuttle, the Han, to Dr. Catherine Halsey with a dedicated AI "Toran", and Lieutenant Jacob Keyes to act as an attaché.[3]

On August 17, 2517 Jacob Keyes and Catherine Halsey entered the Eridanus system to study John-117 at Eridanus II. Due to its lack of defenses, there was a very real danger of pirate attacks on the Han when it entered the system.[2]
