The aircraft carrier is a seaborne warship. Such a vessel is capable of carrying multiple D77H-TCI Pelicans and F-99 Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicles[1] and other aircraft from the UNSC Air Force.[2]
History
At least two such aircraft carriers took part during the Battle of Mombasa on October 20, 2552. These vessels deployed F99 UCAVs to provide surveillance and air strikes against the Covenant, supporting scattered UNSC Marines and New Mombasa Police Department personnel from around the Mombasa Quays.[1]
Production notes
During Halo 3's development, the UNSC was going to have a "wet NAVY" that included an aircraft carrier.[3]
