'''First Platoon''' was an [[Orbital Drop Shock Trooper]] [[platoon]] stationed on the [[UNSC Frigate|Frigate]] [[UNSC]] ''[[UNSC In Amber Clad|In Amber Clad]]'', and part of the [[7th Orbital Drop Shock Trooper Battalion]].

It is unknown whether they participated in the [[UNSC]]'s [[Battle of Mombasa|effort]] to retake [[New Mombasa]] in October of 2552, though they were aboard the ship as it followed the [[Covenant Empire|Covenant]] [[Regret's Carrier|Assault Carrier]] through slipspace to the location of [[Delta Halo]]. They were launched via [[Single Occupant Exoatmospheric Insertion Vehicle|HEV pods]], along with [[John-117|Spartan-117]], to secure a [[Landing Zone|landing zone]] for a flight of [[Dropship 77-Troop Carrier|Pelican dropships]]<ref>'''[[Halo 2]]''', ''[[Delta Halo (Level)]]''</ref>. They assisted the [[Spartan]] in his push through Covenant-held territory, aiding him in his assassination of the [[Prophet of Regret]] - an attempt that was ultimately successful<ref>'''[[Halo 2]]''', ''[[Regret (Level)]]''</ref>.

With the temple complex the [[Prophet]] and [[Spartan-117]] were located in destroyed by an overhead [[Assault Carrier|Covenant Carrier]], the fate of the ODST's and Marines is unknown.
