The '''''UNSC Minotaur''''' was a [[UNSC]] [[UNSC Destroyer|destroyer]]. The ''Minoutar'' was stationed at the planet [[Reach]] in August 2552 when 314 [[Covenant]] vessels attacked. During the ensuing [[The Battle of Reach|battle]], the ''Minoutar'' was destroyed by a Covenant [[Flagship]]. The Covenant ship fired a needle-thin lance of energy at the ''Minoutar'', which struck it on A deck, aft. The beam went through both sets of Titanium-A Battleplate, every deck, and the ship's reactor, exiting through H deck by the engines. The beam cut a ten-meter wide swath through the vessel, destroying it completely. the beam in question fired by a sort of covenant charged pulse laser; the weapon was mounted on a covenant flagship.  Only two have yet been encountered, one of which was destroyed by the [[Iroqouis]], the other was captured by The Master Chief, Warrant Officer Polaski, Corporal Locklear, Sergeant Johnson, Cortana, and Lieutenant Haverson after the destruction of Installation 04.<ref>[[Halo: The Fall of Reach]], page 298 and 320</ref>.

The UNSC Minotaur was a UNSC destroyer that served during the Fall of Reach in 2552.

Fall of Reach[edit]

During the invasion of Reach, a Covenant ship fired an energy projector beam at the Minotaur's aft end. The beam burned a ten-meter whide hole through the ship, piercing A deck, destroying the reactor, and exiting on H deck near the engines. The Minotaur was completely cut in half within seconds.[2][3]
