Black-One wearing a type of ocular implant.

An ocular implant is a type of artificial eye used by the UNSC to replace damaged eyes. The process is most likely similar to ocular prosthesis; however, it provides the user with vision as well as the physical eye itself. A Spartan-II, Black-One, required an ocular implant after an "incident" during training.[1]
