Jeremiah Mendez was a human member of the United Nations military and a veteran of the Rainforest Wars. He was the author of A Soldier's Tale: Rainforest Wars, which was considered a military classic by the 26th century.[1] He was most likely an ancestor of Franklin Mendez, the veteran drill instructor of the SPARTAN-II and SPARTAN-III programs, who greatly admired the book.
