Rhul 'Salmutee was a high-ranking Sangheili who served as the Shipmaster of the CAS-class assault carrier Solemn Penance, the flagship of the Fleet of Sacred Consecration during the Human-Covenant War.[1]
Biography[edit]
During the Battle for Earth, on October 20th, 2552, the ship was under the command of the High Prophet of Regret, and Rhul served as the commander of the fleet. After Covenant troops had breached the UNSC's defense of New Mombasa, 'Salmutee sent his own troops to attack the human city from a lift established in the Uplift Nature Reserve.[2] After a group of Marines made it to the lift, Rhul was faced with the possibility of his ship being overrun on the ground and intercepted by UNSC ships if it tried to escape to orbit. By the order of the Prophet of Regret, 'Salmutee directed the Solemn Penance into slipspace, where it would remain until it emerged in orbit of the gas giant Substance for the Battle of Installation 05.[3]
