General Hogan is a high-ranking UNSC Marine Corps officer and a member of the UNSC Security Council.

Biography[edit]

As of July 25, 2557, General Hogan served on the UNSC Security Council committee along with Admiral Serin Osman, Admiral Terrence Hood, General Strauss, and General Dellert. The committee was called together to debrief John-117 following the New Phoenix Incident, the destruction of Cortana and Mantle's Approach, and the defeat of the Didact. Hogan asked the Spartan if he had confirmed the kill of the Didact, but the Master Chief stated that he could not as there was no body to be found. At first disappointed, believing that the incident could occur again, John relieved that the Composer was destroyed as well.[1]

Hogan's main concern was how the general public would receive the attack, believing that humanity has "been through too much". Hogan announced to the rest of the Security Council that if there is no known active Forerunner, the UNSC could claim that the Covenant was responsible for the attack, but they were fended off by the return of the Master Chief. Following the meeting, Hood commented to John that Hogan did not possess the ability to think before speaking.[1]

In March of 2558, he continued to serve on the UNSC Security Council. They evaluated Captain Thomas Lasky's handling of the Requiem Campaign.[2]
