It is equal to the rank of [[Petty Officer Second Class]] in the [[UNSC Navy]] and [[Staff Sergeant]] in the [[Air Force]]. Sergeants in the Army lead may lead teams of around 4 soldiers, while Marine Sgts. typically lead squads of about 12 Marines.

Sergeant, abbreviated to SGT, is a Enlistment rank of E-5 in the United Nations Space Command Unified Ground Command (UNICOM) rank structure. It is preceded by Corporal and subordinate to a Staff Sergeant.[1]
