A slipspace field shunt is a piece of Covenant technology that is capable of reopening rifts in slipstream space. During the Onyx Conflict, Fleet Master Voro Nar 'Mantakree ordered Huragok to use slipspace field shunts to reopen the slipspace rift in the core room antechamber of Onyx. However, the Huragok were prevented from doing so when Kurt Ambrose destroyed all Covenant forces in the area when he detonated FENRIS nuclear warheads.[1]
