Rear Admiral Saeed Shafiq is a high-ranking officer of the UNSC Navy in the post-war era. In January 2553, he headed UNSC Procurement.[1]
He believed that despite humanity's technological advances with Forerunner reverse-engineered technology, little progress has been made in improving slipspace predictability - which could have saved the UNSC Ariadne and its crew. He is also aware of the UNSC Infinity's existence, as well as its complement of SPARTAN-IV personnel. Later, he wanted a Huragok team routinely embarked in every UNSC warship by 2557 due to them giving the Covenant their technical superiority.[2]
