J'nellin was a San'Shyuum politician, serving as a Hierarch of the Reformists. He was in office at the time of the First Age of Conflict, during the War of Beginnings. J'nellin wrote a monograph about the Sangheili-occupied Planet of Blue and Red, where he noted that the unique hue of the planet made it one of the wonders of the galaxy. During a skirmish on the planet in 860 BCE, High Lord Mken 'Scre'ah'ben found himself agreeing with J'nellin's observations.[1]
