Siófok is a location on the planet Reach. It is both home to the Siófok Firing Range[1] and a facility that produces the R7 thrust coupling.[2]
History
Fall of Reach
On August 30, 2552 during the final stages of the Fall of Reach, a massive Covenant combined armada of 315 vessels arrived in the Epsilon Eridani system and battled the already-weakened Epsilon Eridani Fleet. During the ongoing final space battle over Reach, Siófok was attacked by a number of Type-26A Banshees and Kai-pattern Seraphs led by a trio of CAS-class assault carriers.[3]
Trivia
Like many places on Reach, it is named after a Hungarian town on Earth. Siόfok is a city in Hungary near Lake Balaton, the largest lake in Central Europe.
