The Halo Wars 2: Announce Trailer is a pre-rendered trailer showcasing Halo Wars 2 for Xbox One and Windows 10 in Fall 2016. Adapted from the mid-level cinematic cutscene of the level The Signal in the final game, the trailer was created and produced by Blur Studio, in collaboration with 343 Industries and Creative Assembly. It was directed by Blur Studio's Dave Wilson.[1]
Transcript[edit]
Opens to Red Team engaged in a fighting retreat while dragging a wounded Douglas-042 along the floor. Heavy bloodstains are noticeable on the ground. and Douglas's right foot appears to be twisted out of shape or missing.
- Jerome-092: "Command, this is Red Team. Something hit us. Douglas is down. Immediate Evac requested."
Cuts to Douglas firing off a shot with his Magnum. Then cuts to several shots of Red Team searching a dark enclosure before a large obscured being picks up one of the Spartans by the throat. Cuts to back to Douglas.
- Jerome-092: "Move! Move! Move!"
Douglas fires another shot. Cuts to Red Team engaging the unidentified being with combat knives with one Spartan sent flying after the being is stabbed. Cuts back to Douglas.
- Jerome-092: "Command, we need extraction!"
Douglas fires another shot. Cuts to scenes of Red Team still stabbing the obscured being while one of the Spartans is dangling off a cliff with one hand. Cuts back to Douglas as he pulls the trigger again but discovers that he is out of ammo. He falls unconscious and his pistol, still in hand, hits the floor beside him. Meanwhile, somewhere else on the base, an obscured Jiralhanae, subsequently revealed to be Atriox, activates his weapon and reveals himself.
- Atriox: "Yes. Run little demons!"
Cuts to 343 Industries and Creative Assembly logos.
- Atriox: "Hunt them down!"
Atriox turns around and walks off.
