*Although it is assumed that the platoon is an ODST platoon due to the 'drop jet' title there is no actual evidence in the book that they are ODSTs. They could possibly be "parachutists" equipped with [[Parafoil]]s.
*As platoons are not given permanent numerical designations, it is commonly assumed that the 105th was in fact the "105th's drop jet platoon", although a division would reasonably have more than one such unit.
