The hardened uplink/remote sensor package (HU/RS) or hardened uplink-improved/remote sensor package (HUL-I/RS) is an external helmet attachment, which integrates the Hardened Uplink with a remote sensor into a single attachment, employed by the United Nations Space Command.[1][2][3]
Variants
The HU/RS and HUL-I packages have two observed variants, both with its own distinct physical appearance.
AN/PZY-6000 ARGON
The helmets of Mjolnir Mark V Scout and its GEN2 successor, the VIGILANT-class Mjolnir, accept the AN/PZY-6000 ARGON package, which is employed for as reconnaissance and surveillance modules. It is visually similar to a pair of head-mounted binoculars. The package was manufactured by Materials Group and introduced during the Human-Covenant War, when aerial and orbital sensor platforms had been destroyed during Covenant invasions.[4] The attachment is a favorite among sniper units employing the SCOUT helmets.[5] This variant was employed by Jun-A266.
AN/PZY0980ASTS FACELIFT
Manufactured by RKD Group and compatible with most helmets on the MJOLNIR [GEN3] platform, the AN/PZY0980ASTS FACELIFT sensor package adds a second electro-optical suite and battlenet-updatable ECCM module.[6]
The FARNDALE module has been observed to be compatible with the following helmets:[6]
In-game information
The HU/RS and HUL-I/RS serve as a cosmetic option and have no impact on gameplay.
Halo: Reach
There are two HU/RS variants available as attachments on several helmets in the armor permutations of Halo: Reach. The device is priced at different levels of Credits, depending on the base helmets. In Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the same HU/RS-attached helmets are unlockable in Season 1: Noble.
The WILLOW HU/RS package on the GUNGNIR helmet.[Note 1]
Halo Infinite
HU/RS attachments are available as customization options in Halo Infinite. The release of Halo Infinite was accompanied by a series of retcons, with a HU/RS variant being changed into the TAC/RS/WILLOW.
