The Forerunners created large and sizable Anti-Gravity Gondolas, that travel by utilizing anti-gravity technology to ferry individuals over long and extensive distances, that are otherwise difficult to traverse.
Description
There are several iterations of the Gondola found throughout the Halos, one of which uses anti-gravity "tethers" below and above it. The only way for a person to get to the Library of a Halo is through one of these or the use of a Teleportation Grid.
Various gondolas and underwater elevators are also the only way to get to Regret's Temple without flying.
Trivia
- So far, Gondolas are exclusive to Halo 2.
- There is a glitch known as the Gondola Grunt. If you trap a Grunt on the second Gondola in the level Regret, its AI dramatically changes tactics and personalities.
- Gondolas appear in the levels Regret and Quarantine Zone.
