I'm not sure we at Halopedia got the armour groupings right for Reach. I mean, looking at all the names, it seems that the names before "/" slashes are more of a discriptive name than a true catagory. "UA" is just certain armour pieces that upgrade the armour of a Spartan wearing them. We have a random assortment of different armours and the only thing in common is they offer more protection. ODST... belongs with ODST. Base Security... belongs with Base Security. Multi-Threat... etc. It's not just UA, all the armours are split up this way, and its very confusing. It's inconsistent too, some things are where they should be. Grenadier is all together, even though the chest is Collar/Grenadier. Commando is the same way, so is Recon, just to name a few. My point is the first part - HP, UA, Tactical, Collar, Assault, FJ - is just a way to catagorize the armour into what it does, UA increases protection, Tactical has a lot of pouches for the most part, etc. LRP might only have one lonely piece, but it's its own varient all to itself, just as much as varients that have four or more. I'm not saying delete this page, we could have pages for the catagories too (HP, UA, Tactical, Collar, Assault, FJ), but they aren't varients, just catagories, we should really split that up. Looking at this title I feel we need to come up with a better format for accessory categories such as this one. The thing is, "UA" isn't a "class" of Mjolnir armor like, say, EVA or CQB, which are singular armor variants. It's an assortment of supplemental armor of various origins grouped under one category ("up-armor"). And as mentioned in the article, the parts aren't exclusive to Mjolnir and are used by non-Spartan infantry as well. The same goes for the so-called "TACTICAL-class Mjolnir" and other similar pages that haven't been given the "-class Mjolnir" treatment yet.
The best alternative I can come up with is "Armor accessories/UA", "Armor accessories/Tactical", and so on. This takes into account the fact many of the components can be used with non-Mjolnir systems, as well as that not all of those components are armor pieces themselves (e.g. most of the pieces in the "Tactical" category are pouches of some kind). --Jugus (talk) 02:39, 24 August 2016 (EDT)

:That did occur to me, but a lot of the accessories aren't strictly armor. There's a lot of other stuff, like pouches, electronics, and webbing. That's why I came up with "Armor accessories" as a more encompassing title. --Jugus (talk) 05:44, 25 August 2016 (EDT) |

What does W stand for[edit]
what does the W in UA/Base Security [W] stand for?--One who survived 19:32, 20 December 2010 (EST)
- I think it stands for Waypoint, since you have to unlock it through that. Solokiller 07:52, 29 December 2010 (EST)
That's highly unlikely, considering you also need to earn CQB and Military Police through Waypoint.--One who survived 16:53, 31 December 2010 (EST)
By the way, why aren't the UA/Base Security or UA/Multi-threat Shoulders on this page?--One who survived 18:28, 7 January 2011 (EST)

Titling[edit]
