Lieutenant W. K. Davidson (UNSCMID 07729654) was an officer in the UNSC and a member of the UNSC Engineering Corps in 2492. That year, he led an archeological expedition to planet Onyx and surveyed it.[1] He noted the rock structure of the planet as well as the fossil life found, and recommended a follow-up survey. His report was named ENGCORP Field Report A79052. The second survey discovered Forerunner artifacts on the surface of Onyx. The planet was then taken over by ONI.[1]
