Service history
Admiral Gabriela Castenada was a renowned flag officer of the UNSC Navy, best known for her service during the Insurrection in the late 25th century. She was one of the more profound voices advocating for diplomacy before the civil war, but proved to be an impressive tactician and leader during the war. Her efforts led to many lives being saved in what was otherwise a devastating conflict.[2]
Legacy
Shortly after Gabriela Castenadas death, her brain was used as the basis for the creation of the "smart" artificial intelligence Gabriela, the AI assigned to UNSC Promise of Dawn during the Human-Covenant War; and later Outpost Discovery, created in the later years after the war.[1][2] Admiral Castenada's record is available to the public.[2]
