The UNSC Salvage Directive regards the procedures for the salvaging of UNSC military vessels.[1] According to the directive, salvage crews are to report their find, claim a reward, and allow a military salvage crew take over. This directive means little in the Outer Colonies, especially those wishing to be independent. Kip Silas cited the directive to the Ace of Spades crew while learning of a large ship they were going after, while Lessa and Niko criticized the UNSC and the directive. The ship's captain, Rion Forge, intervened stating that if they found a data core or nuclear weapon, she would report it.
