::I've seen the confusion happening often enough to consider it an issue. Moreover, like I said, the article title itself matters less than a lot of people might think, and tinkering with it does more harm than good. Again, the actual name of the subject is going nowhere from the introductory paragraph, which people are supposed to be reading anyways. As for my Wikipedia examples, those two were just ones that I happened to think of on the spot - I'm sure there are plenty more examples in non-fictional topics that follow the same standard. Also, despite Wikipedia's occasionally imperfect handling of fictional media, I wouldn't defer that much to other fictional universe wikis; they tend to have wildly varying standards and formatting; to see an example, one needs to look no further than this wiki to see just how indecisive we've been how much has changed over the past few years. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 01:41, 18 December 2012 (EST)

Then I think we should address the original decision to remove "the" from the title of article like "Didact". Because canon sources like Halo Waypoint have made it clear that "the" is part of his name, even if it's not capitalized. Tuckerscreator(stalk) 01:53, 18 December 2012 (EST)
:To what extent that holds true is debatable. The "the" is left out on a number of occasions, most obviously when addressing him ("War is your realm, Didact") or when he's identified in subtitles (although in general, subtitles aren't a very reliable precedent for formatting). The point of the policy is that the definite article should only be included in the title if it's an absolutely indispensable part of the name, like in The Storm. With the Didact, the Librarian, and so on, it's there just because of grammatical convention, just like one would say "the Battle of Earth" or "the UNSC" and so on. And I don't see us adding the title template in those. --Jugus (Talk | Contribs) 02:24, 18 December 2012 (EST)
Here it is. Also, I don't see why we can't render the title to accommodate both, i.e. "Forward Unto Dawn (poem)".— subtank 02:16, 18 December 2012 (EST)
