I removed that little comment about the supposed fate a Ranger faces should his pressure suit suffer a breach. Contrary to popular belief — a belief apparently sustained by some R-rated sci-fi films — living things do '''''not''''' explode when they are exposed to a vacuum. The human body can easily withstand a pressure drop of one atmosphere, and people can survive in space for at least a minute. Obviously, a humanoid alien with tougher skin than a human's can do so as well. Furthermore, the term "[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Explosive_decompression explosive decompression] refers to something else entirely.

Yeah, I did too. While they definately look good, the design is too angular to be of Covenant origin and on top of that the armor's white, though the color might make them easier to spot while they're airborne. I'll just make this here, but we have gotten quite a lot of info on the Rangers recently (''Broken Circle'', ''Hunters in the Dark'', and ''Shadow of Intent'') and it's clear that the Rangers are an organization within the Covenant military and now the Swords of Sanghelios. This is something we kind of already knew, but I think it might be useful to have a page on the Rangers organization itself rather than just the rank. We could have a page on the Covenant one and the Swords of Sanghelios one, or we could put them under one article. == Helmet Design ==

I've just recently noticed that the Halo 2 Anniversary Ranger helmet has the exact same frame as the Halo Reach Ranger helmet. I was wondering if this has been noticed before. The main difference between H2A's and Reach's, is that there's no large visor as seen in Reach, while the H2A Ranger has some sort of plate with two smaller visors. Besides the main difference, and the color difference obviously, the frame of the helmet is the exact same. Curious to see if this could be noted somewhere on this page. We could have a page on the Covenant one and the Swords of Sanghelios one, or we could put them under one article. Any thoughts? --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 16:26, 8 January 2016 (EST)

I'm not sure another page is really needed. We could probably just handle it like we've done for the Zealot page.Sith Venator Mega Blastoise.gif (Dank Memes) 16:28, 8 January 2016 (EST)
Yeah, I see your point, but honestly, my main concern is that it could just be useful to have info on the organization on one article instead of three. But I'm fine with waiting until we have more knowledge about the Rangers organization and structure before we do something. --NightHammer(talk)(contribs) 16:31, 8 January 2016 (EST)
This would be like the "Covenant Special Operations" article, so it's possible. But I think for now it's not really necessary—unless you've gathered enough information for it not to be a duplicate of the rank article, of course. Imrane-117 (talk) 18:01, 3 April 2016 (EDT)

It does appear that an article for the Ranger class is needed. Here are a few links that may be useful for sourcing: Grunt Ranger, Jackal Ranger, and Elite Ranger. Imrane-117 (talk) 16:23, 2 May 2016 (EDT)

Infobox[edit]

I think we should merge "Function:" and "Other role(s):". I don't know why they should be separated, especially since the EVG lists all of them in its "Function:" part alone. (I'm talking about the infobox itself in general, not just for this article) Imrane-117 (talk) 18:01, 3 April 2016 (EDT)

Helmet Design[edit]

I've just recently noticed that the Halo 2 Anniversary Ranger helmet has the exact same frame as the Halo Reach Ranger helmet. I was wondering if this has been noticed before. The main difference between H2A's and Reach's, is that there's no large visor as seen in Reach, while the H2A Ranger has some sort of plate with two smaller visors. Besides the main difference, and the color difference obviously, the frame of the helmet is the exact same. Curious to see if this could be noted somewhere on this page. Since the difference is regarding the armor itself, it should be on the Ranger harness page, and it looks like it is already covered here. If you think the current information can be improved upon, don't be afraid to add more information on it! JackVibe 06:29, October 20, 2020 (EDT)

Ah I see now, thanks for the clarification. TheLoneOne0303 (talk) 02:30, October 28, 2020 (EDT)
