Installation 01 is a fan-made first-person shooter Halo game on the Unity engine. The project was made to recreate the multiplayer experience of the Bungie-era games. The game is mostly meant to recreate the feeling of Halo 2 and Halo 3, although there are elements of Combat Evolved and Reach sprinkled in. The game will be free to play on all PC platforms.[1]

History

The first public version of the game was shared on a Halo Waypoint forum post in August 2014.[2] The team behind the game released their first vidoc in August of 2016.[3] A cinematic trailer for the game was released in May of 2017.[4] As of now Installation 01 is still a work in progress. Regular updates are made on the Installation 01 website.[5]
