Unforgotten is the sixth track in Halo 2: Original Soundtrack, Volume 2.
The piece is characterized by high strings and piano playing a legato melody. The name refers to the fact that Martin O'Donnell forgot about the track during the production of Halo 2.[1]
The first section of the piece is included in the main menu of Halo 2. A small section of it is played in the level High Charity, when Cortana overlooks the leaving Anodyne Spirit which contains John-117. It also plays in the main menu of Halo 3.
