Sangheili Assault are a specialized form of Sangheili Ranger employed by the Banished.
Description
Like their regular Ranger brethren, Sangheili Assault are deployed in pairs for the purposes of scouting, reconnaissance and marksmanship. They are typically deployed with Type-51 carbines for their long range capability.
Gameplay
Assault Sangheili appear in the Blitz multiplayer mode of Halo Wars 2 as a playable card for any Banished leader. Like UNSC Snipers and regular Rangers, they are able to detect cloaked units, but unlike regular Rangers, they are able to deploy anywhere on the battlefield at full strength as opposed to most units' need to be deployed at home base. However, they require 50 energy to deploy as opposed to the Rangers' 30.
- Rarity: Uncommon
- Cost to deploy: 50
- Rush: This unit ignores Fatigue when deployed, charging into battle at full strength.
- Detect: This unit detects and reveals nearby Cloaked enemies.
The Assault Elites are classed as core infantry, and performs well against infantry, vehicles and aircraft.
