Ghosts Of Reach is the fourth track of the Halo 2: Original Soundtrack, Volume 1.
The first part of the music features strings accompanying the vocals from Remembrance, which is a re-orchestration of The Maw (from Halo: Original Soundtrack). The second part features a percussive beat with a high-tempo rendition of Weight Of Failure (from Prologue), which is followed by Cloistered Expectancy (the Halo 2 version of the Halo Theme from Prologue). The percussive beat ends before the Halo Theme sung by the choir ends.
The second part was re-orchestrated into Black Tide from the track Dread Intrusion in the Halo 3: Original Soundtrack. While the first part was re-orchestrated Ghosts of Reach in the Halo Legends: Original Soundtrack as well as Unsullied Memory in the Halo 2: Anniversary Original Soundtrack, the second part featuring percussive beats was not featured in either albums.
