The Killtacular medal (also called Kill Frenzy in Halo 2) is awarded for killing five opponents within four seconds of each other in standard multiplayer games (and Halo: Spartan Assault) and within less time in campaign and Firefight. In Halo 4 multiplayer and Spartan Ops the kills need only be within 4.5 seconds of each other.
Originally, the medal was represented by a silver circle with five purple stars. In Halo 4 it is represented by five white stars on a green circle rimmed with light green and brown. The medal is monochrome and imposed on a shield in Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo: Spartan Strike. When a player earns this medal the announcer will shout "Killtacular!" to the player that received this medal.
Trivia
- Earning this medal in a Halo 3 matchmaking game on a Mythic map will unlock the Killtacular achievement. An easy way to do this is to play Grifball.
- The medal's original incarnation is the only multiplier medal which has the stars upside down.
- Earning this medal in Halo: Reach matchmaking unlocks the Jorge-052 helmet avatar award.
